About Us
Hi, I’m Jessica Lamirande, the founder of Unique in Vancouver and the creative force behind the camera (and sometimes in front of it too).

After working nonstop for 22 years in creative marketing, brand strategy, and visual merchandising, I suddenly found myself in the middle of a department-wide layoff. For the first time, I had space to pause and say yes to new adventures.

One of those adventures? In December 2024, I won an Instagram contest for a stay at the Maple Rock Clue Mansion. Just for fun, we filmed a lighthearted holiday promo during our stay. The owner loved it and invited us back. That moment sparked something bigger.

Before launching Unique in Vancouver, I worked as a project manager at a YouTube creator agency, where I managed the execution of campaigns for creators and brands like NBA Playmakers, Sony, and Warner Music. That experience taught me how much strategy goes into content and now I bring that same thinking into every reel we create.

Unique in Vancouver officially launched in early 2025 and has quickly grown into a small but mighty content studio. We create short-form, story-driven videos for events, experiences, and unforgettable brand moments. Some videos are spontaneous. Others are more planned. A few involve costumes. But they all have one goal: to make people want to watch to the end.
Our approach is a little different. We blend storytelling with real-life fun, often adding humour, costumes, or a unique twist to make the experience as entertaining as it is engaging. Most of our content features a rotating cast of friends and collaborators who jump into the experience right alongside me. Whether we’re ziplining, glamping, or crashing a foam-filled obstacle course, we film ourselves having fun in the moment.
Whether we’re capturing a high-energy event or telling a quirky behind-the-scenes story, our focus is the same: make it fun, make it real, and make it worth sharing.
